SAMPLE TEMPLATE — this text will be reviewed by legal counsel before transactional launch.
1. Who we are
AlloPro (“we”) operates a platform connecting clients with verified home-service workers across the Longueuil agglomeration (Québec). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we protect it, in accordance with Québec's Law 25 and PIPEDA.
2. Privacy officer
AlloPro's privacy officer can be reached at privacy@allopro.app for any question, access or correction request, or complaint.
3. Information we collect
Client accounts: name, email address, phone number, postal code and city.
Worker accounts: additionally, documents required for identity (and, where applicable, professional licence) verification, and Canadian banking details (institution, transit and account numbers) required for payouts.
Service requests: work description, photos, availability and area. Your exact address is only shared with the worker after payment in trust.
Usage data: technical logs, pages visited and interactions, collected with your consent where audience-measurement tools are involved.
4. Purposes
We use this information to: create and verify accounts; connect clients and workers; run negotiation, payment in trust and fund release; provide customer support and mediation; prevent fraud and platform circumvention; and meet our legal obligations.
5. Consent
We collect your consent in a clear, free and informed manner, for each purpose. Non-essential cookies, including audience measurement, are only set after you agree through our consent banner, and you may withdraw consent at any time.
6. Sharing with third parties
Your information is never sold. It is only shared with service suppliers required to operate the platform: payment processing and trust (Stripe), hosting in Canada (Toronto data centre), customer support (Freshdesk) and transactional email (Postmark). Each supplier is bound by contractual confidentiality obligations.
Some workers may process information outside Québec; where that occurs we perform a privacy impact assessment as required by Law 25.
7. Retention
We keep your information for the life of your account, then for the period required by law (including tax law) or needed for dispute management, after which it is securely destroyed or anonymized.
8. Your rights
You may access your information, have it corrected, withdraw consent, request de-indexing, and file a complaint with Québec's Commission d'accès à l'information. Write to privacy@allopro.app; we respond within 30 days.
9. Security
We apply security measures proportional to the sensitivity of the information: encryption in transit, access controls, logging, and manual document verification before profile activation. In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious harm, we will notify you and the Commission d'accès à l'information as required by law.
10. Changes
Any material change to this policy will be communicated by email or in-app notice before it takes effect.
