Payment in trust, explained simply

3 min read

The principle in one sentence

When you accept an offer, you deposit the agreed amount in trust with our payment partner: the money is neither with AlloPro nor with the worker — it's reserved, and nobody touches it until the work is approved.

What it changes, concretely

For you, the client: the worker can't disappear with a deposit, since they haven't received anything yet. When the work is done, they submit proof (photos and a comment); you approve, and only then are the funds released to them. If there's a problem, you report it and mediation applies before any release.

For the worker: they start the job knowing the funds exist and are locked — no more insolvent clients or unpaid invoices. As soon as you approve, the payout goes through (minus the 12% fee).

Automatic bonus: at the moment of the trust deposit, the system shares contact details and the exact work-site address between the two of you. Before that, everything stays hidden.

A word about vocabulary

The funds are held by a regulated trusted third party, our payment partner, and AlloPro acts only as a technical intermediary. The service contract itself is concluded directly between you and the worker.
